Pioneers in Sustainable Living Since 2015
Wildernest was Belgium’s first tiny house builder. Since 2015, we’ve specialized in designing and crafting premium custom wooden structures.
Starting with eco-friendly, self-sufficient mobile tiny homes, we’ve expanded into hotel nature cabins, garden offices, saunas, and studios.
Each project combines design integrity, functionality, and environmental responsibility, using locally sourced materials from Belgian partners. Each creation is tailored to meet our clients’ specific needs — from inspiring workspaces to seamless home extensions and elegant outdoor shelters. Built in Belgium, delivered anywhere in Europe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our tiny houses
Can I design and build a fully customized tiny house in Belgium?
Absolutely! At Wildernest, every project is a 100% custom-built tiny house. Whether you dream of a modern tiny home in Belgium, a minimalist cabin for the countryside, or an eco-friendly mobile house to enjoy tiny living, our architect-designed tiny homes are tailor-made to your lifestyle, plot size, and budget. From the layout and insulation to the choice of wood, windows, and equipment — you can build anything you imagine with us. Your dream tiny house becomes reality at Wildernest.
Can I buy a ready-made model?
Yes, absolutely! Over the years, we’ve built dozens of different models. If you’d rather not go through the process of creating a new one, we can reproduce a model we’ve already made. You’ll still have the option to customize certain elements, such as the type of wood, materials, and equipment.
Do I need a permit to build a Tiny House in Belgium?
It depends on your region and the size of your tiny house. In Belgium, a tiny home is often considered a garden shed for permit purposes. You can build without a building permit:
- up to 40m² in Flanders,
- up to 20m² in Wallonia,
- and up to 9m² in Brussels,
Our team will guide you through the regulations for tiny houses in Belgium, helping you choose the best solution for your area — whether it’s a mobile home, a garden tiny house, or a semi-permanent structure.
How much does it cost to build a tiny house in Belgium?
The price of your tiny house depends on several factors — size, type of wood, equipment, and windows. At Wildernest, our tiny homes in Belgium range from €65,000 to €120,000 (VAT included). Each project is unique, whether you want a luxury tiny home, a simple minimalist cabin, or a self-sufficient off-grid tiny house. We’ll tailor everything to your needs and budget.
What are the steps to start building my tiny home?
Your tiny house journey begins with a visit to our workshop in Brussels (Forest). During this personalized tour, you’ll discover one of our showroom's tiny houses and meet our architect and project manager to discuss your project in detail.
- Appointment & Consultation – share your vision and budget.
- Pre-project phase – we design a 3D model of your dream project.
- Adjustments – you can modify the 3D model until you’re fully satisfied.
- Final quote & approval – once validated, we start building.
The construction phase takes place in our workshop over a period of about three months, after which your tiny house will be ready for delivery to your site.
Can my tiny house be connected to electricity, water, and sewage?
Yes — our tiny houses in Belgium can be connected to existing networks (electricity, water, sewage) or built as off-grid tiny homes. We adapt to your land and area constraints, offering solar panels, rainwater collection, and compost toilets for sustainable and independent tiny living. Whether you want a connected home or a fully autonomous eco-tiny house, Wildernest provides the right solution.
What type of foundation does the tiny house need?
At Wildernest, our tiny houses in Belgium don’t require heavy or permanent concrete foundations. Instead, we use a light foundation system with large ground screws that are securely anchored into the soil. This innovative method ensures your tiny home is stable, durable, and environmentally friendly, without damaging the land.
Because there’s no concrete, your tiny house foundation doesn’t permanently urbanize the soil, making it easier to move or relocate your home in the future. It’s a sustainable, reversible, and eco-conscious solution.
How long does it take to build my tiny house?
Once your final quote is signed, the construction process takes around 3 months. Every tiny home is handcrafted in our Belgium workshop, ensuring premium quality, durability, and a comfortable experience.
How does transportation and installation work?
Your tiny house is entirely built in our Brussels workshop. On delivery day, it’s transported by truck directly to your plot — anywhere in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, or elsewhere in Europe. Once on site, we position and connect your tiny home in just a few hours. It’s the easiest way to start enjoying your dream tiny house lifestyle without months of on-site construction.
Where can I see Wildernest tiny houses in person?
You can visit our workshop in Forest, Brussels, by appointment to see our tiny houses and explore different models and sizes. Want to experience tiny living before you buy?
